Developing self-awareness using adaption- innovation theory

Cognitively diverse teams are essential to success in today’s challenging and collaborative world. However, such teams can be a challenge to lead. Kirton’s Adaption-Innovation (KAI) theory offers insights regarding difference in thinking styles and how to manage relationships in a way that yields maximum benefit at least cost to the leader.

This short paper explores how to develop self-awareness using KAI and offers tips for working with cognitively diverse groups.
