CATCAM: Challenging abuse through creative animated methodologies

Domestic abuse in young people’s relationships is a growing concern within society, however little research has so far been undertaken.

Drawing on expertise from HSC and the NCCA, this pilot project aims to engage BU students, key informants and the public in creative methodologies to think through issues associated with domestic abuse in young people’s relationships. The findings will be evaluated and themes arising will inform the development of a larger research bid and the resulting art forms (plays, films, animations, etc.) will form the basis of new training materials that will be disseminated nationally and internationally.
