The Centre for Post-Qualifying Social Work at Bournemouth University was commissioned by Skills for Care to develop the basis of a pilot post-qualifying social work course to support the continuing professional development (CPD) needs of internationally qualified social workers. In addition to scoping previous research, we have gained the perspectives of internationally qualified social workers on their CPD needs.

This information has been used to design the basis of an ‘overseas course’ that is a precursor to the post-qualifying Consolidation and Preparation for Specialist Practice Unit.
