Social Work CPD Newsletter March 2022
25th March 2022
Dear Colleagues
As the days draw longer and a bit warmer, we wanted to reach out to you all and send you the list of energetic CPD offering we have available this spring!
First of all, I would like to thank you for all your feedback on CPD units, timings and delivery- we are reviewing our offer continuously to meet the needs of practice across Health and Social Sciences, and we value your input for future developments! We have listened to your comments to put on additional Practice Education units for Social Work specifically in April.
I am really excited about our relaunch of the Strategic Leadership Unit, facilitated by Dr Orlanda Harvey. Orlanda is going to support leaders when they face challenges in the transition to strategic leadership roles in Health and Social Care settings in particular. Practical tools will be shared, and critical reflection enabled to drive performance of services to focus on positive Service User and Patient outcomes.
The Professional Supervision Unit is going to run in May and we will focus on how Managers and Leaders can support their staff through supervision in clinical and practice settings. Different models for supervision will be introduced and explored whilst we are also looking at what stands in the way of ‘good supervision’ and how we can overcome barriers.
The Resilience, Advocacy and Wellbeing unit has been well received already but there are a few spaces left if you want to learn more about managing your own and your team’s wellbeing.
We will also be introducing a new Evidencing Professional Learning Unit in Autumn 2022, which will be a complementary unit to the Improving Personal & Organisational Performance/Intro to Leadership and will explore such topics as: an introduction to leadership styles and models, leading teams, building trust, the manager as a coach and giving feedback.
Here is a list of our units that are running over the next couple of months, we are excited to see you soon! – https://www.applycpd.com/bu
