CPD Newsletter January 2022!
31st January 2022
We wanted to take the opportunity of the New Year to share with you the latest developments at BU and the CPD department!
Across Health and Social Sciences, we have been working hard to not just continue our CPD offer but to extend this and develop new units to create sustainable learning cultures of the future. Leadership across health and social care has been in focus since our well-received Leadership Conference in December 2021 and we want to take the positive drive that this has created forward.
So, we are excited to share with you the programme and dates for February and March 2022 (more information about each unit can be found at the links below).

We are really pleased to offer the Professional Supervision Unit for health and social care – a unit that will offer space to reflect on Supervision tools, ways to engage with staff in virtual settings in a meaningful way, whilst considering the voice of the patient/Service User.
Please note that the application deadline for each unit is 6 weeks before to allow for enrolment.
This year BU has introduced an innovative Adults and Childrens Safeguarding module in Risk and Decision making, delivered by Di Galpin and Annastasia Maksymluk. We have had some really positive feedback and will be organising a conference to disseminate our evaluation of the course. More information can be found at the link below. Although it is currently a closed pilot, it is our intention to offer this unit as part of our core provision and will be publicising dates shortly.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any specific needs for your workforce that you would like to discuss with BU. Our flexible approach to CPD means that we are able to respond to practice developments and workforce needs.
